AICTE is conducting first National level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2012 for admissions in all management programmes approved by AICTE for the year 2012-13. The Online CMAT 2012 Exam date is from 20th February 2012 to 28th February 2012. The exam is going to held for nine days in 61 cities across the country.

A graduate in any discipline or students pursuing their final year of their graduation are eligible to apply for CMAT 2012 exam.

AICTE CMAT 2012 exam pattern and structure

CMAT 2012 exam is of multiple choice questions which is 3 hours long exams, which will be held in two shifts a day, at 9:00 am and at 2:30 pm. You will get questions from four main sections.

  • Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Language Comprehension
  • General Awareness

Each of these sections will have 25 questions which carries 100 marks each. Please note that there will be negative marking for CMAT 2012 exam and 1 mark will be deleted for every wrong answers. So you have to be careful while answering.

CMAT 2012 online registration process & How to apply for AICTE CMAT 2012 exam

Your CMAT 2012 scores determines your seat allotments in AICTE approved institutions and university departments. The online registration for CMAT 2012 starts from 9th December 2011 and will be for a month up to 9th January 2012. You can select up to 3 cities in the order of your preference. But you need to register as early as possible since the management will go for first come first served basis.

The application fees for CMAT 2012 exam for General/OBC candidates is Rs.1200 +bank charges and application fees for CMAT 2012 for SC/ST/PD candidates is Rs. 600 +bank charges.

To apply online for CMAT 2012, you can use your Credit/Debit/Netbanking to pay the fees. In the offline process, the candidate need to get their chalan through cash payment deposited in any branch of State Bank of India. The students have to login their accounts and can print the hall ticket from 30th January 2012 from the official website of AICTE CMAT.
