Delhi is going to host the first slut walk on 31st July 2011. This slut walk is going to be attended by the more than 500 women of Delhi and neighboring states. To know more about Slut walk in Delhi please read the following article.

Delhi is all set to participate in the first Slut walk or 'Besharmi Morcha' on 31st July 2011, Sunday. This is a campaign to protest the random use of the word 'slut' and sexual violence against women. It is going to organize by the Umang Sabharwal a student of Delhi University's Kamala Nehru College.

Venue for Slut walk in Delhi: Slut walk will start from the Free Church to YWCA all the way to Jantar Mantar (in central Delhi).All participants are requested to assemble at 10.30am on Jantar Mantar Road.

Timings for Slut walk in Delhi: The walk will start at 10.30 a.m. and ends at 1.00 p.m.

Dress codes for Slut walk in Delhi: There is no specific dress code for Slut walk in Delhi; Women can wear what they want.

Message given by the Slut walk in Delhi

Slut walk delivers a simple message that women can do what they want, date who they choose to, wear what they like, and no one has the right to say otherwise, or use it as an excuse to harass them.

Over 500 students, working women and NGO workers are expected to participate in the Slut Walk. In addition to hundreds of female students and working girls, actor Gul Panag and actor, social activist Nafisa Ali and some models will also participate in the walk.

Major attractions at Slut walk in Delhi

This will also include a street play by the 'Asmita', the theatre group of the students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and a performance by the Delhi Drums Circle.
