CTET July 2013 online applications and notification

Central Teacher Eligibility Test is an eligibility test conduct by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for recruiting teachers to schools of the Central and schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The test may also apply to the unaided private schools.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET July 2013 eligibility criteria


Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V under Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2013 are as follows:

Candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (or its equivalent)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (or its equivalent), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

Minimum Qualifications for Classes VI-VIII under Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2013 are as follows:

B.A. /B.Sc and passed or appearing in final 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education* (or its equivalent)
OR
B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
OR
B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 – year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year BA/B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.(Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.)
OR
B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 – year B.Ed. (Special Education)

How to apply for Central Teacher Eligibility Test July 2013


Application form for CTET July 2013 can be obtained from the Designated Branches of Syndicate Bank, Institutions against cash payment (Not by post). Information Bulletin containing Application Form can also be had by post by sending Demand Draft of required fee from the Central Board of Secondary Education, Shiksha Sadan, 17 Rouse Avenue, New Delhi-110002.

Application can also be made 'ON-LINE' by visiting the website www.cbse.nic.in. Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated Confirmation page after successful submission of data.

Application fee for Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2013 for Paper – I or II
General/ OBC Category: Rs 500/- (Five hundred)
SC/ST/ Differently Abled Category: Rs 250/- (Two hundred fifty)

Application fee for Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2013 for both papers
General/ OBC Category: Rs 800/- (Eight hundred)
SC/ST/ Differently Abled Category: Rs 400/- (Four hundred)

Please send the Application Form/ Confirmation Page complete in all respect should be sent by Registered/Speed Post so as to reach positively by 22.04.2013 in the CBSE office. Confirmation Page must be dispatched in an envelope of size 12"x10" only and superscribing "APPLICATION FOR CTET July 2013".

Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2013 examination pattern


There will be two papers of Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2013 as follows:
(i) Paper I will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

There will be multiple choice questions in both the papers each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.

• Sale of application form for CTET July 2013 will start from 15.03.2013 to 16.04.2013
• Online Admit Card for CTET July 2013: 03.07.2013
• Last date to apply for CTET July 2013: 22.04.2013
• Examination date for CTET July 2013: 28.07.2013 Paper-I 10:30 to 12:00 and Paper-II 13:30 to 15:00 hrs
