    Detail highlights of Delhi Budget 2011-2012 and things which is now costlier and cheaper after budget.

    Delhi Budget 2011-2012 Highlights

    Sheila Dikshit Chief Minister of Delhi presented a budget of Rs. 27,067 crore for 2011-2012.

    Plan outlay 2011-2012 Delhi Budgetof Rs. 13,600 crore

    Delhi Budget 2011-2012 Non-plan expenditure of Rs. 13,307.

    Rs. 160 crore earmarked for centrally-sponsored projects.

    Sheila Dikshit announced a total of 14,000 new staff in schools.

    The Chief Minister also enhanced scholarships for students.

    'Universal Free Health Scheme' for Children set up with a budget of 100 crores. 27 Lakh school going children will be benefitted,

    What is Cheaper and What is costlier New Taxes VAT Delhi Budget 2011-2012

    Delhi Budget 2011-2012 - Bicycles, kerosene stoves, lanterns, petromax lamps and sanitary napkins will be cheaper now under new tax proposals in Delhi government's budget.

    Delhi Budget 2011-2012 - Bidis, furnishings and suitings and sweetmeats will become costlier under new tax proposals in Delhi government's budget.
