About Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium
The famous Cricket Stadium in Delhi, Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium was constructed in the year 1883. It was designed by Malik Ghazi and Abdul Hakk. In those days the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium was popularly known as Kushk-I-Feroz. It used to be Feroz's palace.
Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium is one of the best cricket stadiums in Delhi and India and has a seating capacity of over 60,000 people. Few years ago Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium was upgraded with floodlights for the day-night cricket matches. The first test match in Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium was played between India and West Indies in 1948. The first ODI in Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium was played between India and Sri Lanka in 1982.
