Northern Railway Recruitment Cell Delhi invites application from eligible candidates to fill up 11439 vacancies from open market in Northern Railway in their various Divisions/Workshops/Units. It includes 173 Vacancies for Persons with Disabilities (PWD).

Details of Eligibility Criteria for Northern Railway Recruitments 2011

Minimum Educational Qualifications: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent.
Note: Candidates appearing at and/or awaiting results of the final examinations of 10th/ITI or equivalent on the date of application are not eligible to apply. (Cut off date will be as on 01.01.11)

Age Limit: Age (in completed years) for the recruitment is 18-33 years reckoned as on 01.01.2011. [for relaxation of upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/PWD please see link below]

Examination Fees: Rs.40/- (candidates belonging to SC/ST, Ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities, women, minority communities, economically weaker sections are exempted from payment of fees).
Note:-
(1) Fee is payable in a form of crossed Demand Draft from State Bank of India or from any other Nationalized Bank or crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of Assistant Personnel Officer, Railway Recruitment Cell, Lajpat Nagar – I, New Delhi – 110024. Remittance of examination fee in any other form will not be accepted. These instruments should not have been issued prior to 15.12.2010.
(2) Candidates should write their Name and Address at the back of the Indian Postal Order/Demand Draft.

Selection Procedure for Northern Railway Recruitments 2011: Candidates will be recruited on the basis of Physical Efficiency Test (PET), followed by written examination.
