Dos and Don'ts while travelling in a Delhi Metro Train

While Delhi Metro Trains have been one of the best things introduced in the capital city of India, there has always been doubts about the success of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation when it comes to maintaining the standard and decorum of the Metro Stations. A passenger should always realise that Metro Trains are for him and he should ensure that the glory of the DMRC is never tainted. Here is a list of things a passenger can take care of to fulfil Delhi Metro's promise of a world-class and safe travel.

1) Standing in queue is one of the most important behaviours the commuters need to follow to maintain discipline in a place like the Metro Stations where safety of the passengers is the first priority.

2) The baggage and luggage should not be very heavy and large.

3) The passengers are advised to make use of dustbins and not throw trash anywhere and everywhere inside the Metro premises. Please keep your Metro clean.

4) Some people have the habit of standing near the escalators and watch others moving on it. It is strictly advised by the metro officials to avoid going near the escalators except when you plan to use it.

5) Physically challenged persons should be given a priority while travelling.

6) Commuters should realise that the trains stop for 30 seconds at all the Metro Stops and allow the passengers to alight the trains before trying to board them.

8) DMRC will not be responsible for a passenger's luggage or valuables. It is advised to the passengers to take adequate care of their valuables.

9) Eating inside the Metro Trains or premises is strictly prohibited.

10) Carrying any kind of firearms or bringing pets inside the Metro Stations is not allowed.

11) It is illegal to travel without a ticket.

12) Sharing a travel card or token is also not allowed.

13) Crossing the yellow line at the Metro Stations should be avoided to ensure maximum safety.

14) Passengers should never try to forcefully open the doors of the trains.

15) The lifts at the Metro Stations should only be used by the physically challenged.
