The Probationary Officer has to report to their immediate senior officer,who is responsible for the closely monitor & evaluate the performance of him/her for a certain period of time.

Job Profile of Probationary Officer

Probationary officers will have to do the assignments given by their managers. They can be deployed to the various departments of the bank so that they will able to get complete exposure in operations & working of bank. It is the responsibility of the Probationary Officer to take up any work during the probation period in order to understand the process effectively so that he or she can gain higher positions.

Work of Probationary Officer is examined by the senior and according to their capabilities they are chosen for the higher positions in Bank.

Duration of Probation period for Probationary Officer Normally,the probation period for PO`s will be for 2 years. But if the person is not working well than Banks have the right to terminate the employee during the probation.

Salary of the Probationary Officer The payscale for probationary officers ranges between Rs.10,000 - 18,240 (according to new pay scale for banks)
