There are some important venues where there are no sports events but the venue is important for one coming to this beautiful city and Capital of India, Delhi for having some glimpse of this mega event Commonwealth games 2010. These important venues are:

Head quarter of Organizing Committee of Commonwealth games 2010, Delhi


Organizing Committee of 19th Commonwealth games, Delhi 2010, is an important venue where all information regarding commonwealth games 2010 can be obtained. It is located New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) building which is beside an important monument Jantar Mantar at Connaught Place, New Delhi. The head quarter of Organizing committee of Commonwealth games 2010, Delhi is a nine storey building and can accommodate about 1200 person as a workforce. The office has all modern amenities and the location is such that it is accessible from all part of Delhi easily. In spite of busy and crowded Cannaught place the parking space is ample and the entire structure is an example of traditional and technological advancement of India. The interior design makes the place as a good spot to visit.


The tourists and the sports lover coming across the world can have all sorts of enquiry at this headquarter. There will be proper guidance for staying, for sports events, address and other details about the venue for commonwealth games 2010. One can come to this headquarter and can get all informations regarding commonwealth games 2010.

Media Centre for Commonwealth games 2010, Delhi


Media provide a great support in the success of any event. The first ever mega event XIX Commonwealth games 2010, Delhi which is scheduled to be from 3rd to 14th October 2010, for this Main media centre will be International Broadcasting Centre (IBC) and the Main Press Centre (MPC). The International Broadcasting Centre (IBC) will be managed by host broadcaster Prasar Bharti and Main Presse Centre will be managed by Press Information Bureau, (PIB). Both are state owned agencies. There will be no analogue broadcast in New Delhi before the D 2010 as per order of Government of India.

The main centre of Media Press will be at Pragati Maidan which is very close to Commonwealth games village.
Television service will be provided by and Prasar Bharti and New Delhi will become the first city in India to have digital broadcast through conditional access system by the time Games are held. This high definition TV service on an experimental basis soon will be soon started by Prasar Bharti.
