India Gate is one of the most visited place in Delhi. Located centrally is has now become a famous picnic spot as it is surrounded by lawn with a lake. Famous India Gate was built in 1930 by Sir Edwin Luteyens, in memory for Indian army soldiers who died in First world war. The name of all 90,000 Indian army soldiers are inscribed on that monument which is of 42 meters in height.
